Basseterre, St. Kitts (MoPIEUDT NEWS) – On Thursday May 8, 2025, the Public Works Department’s asphalt crew is commencing repairs to George Street, Newtown. The team will be milling the road in preparation for its reconstruction.
Meanwhile, the concrete crews will be hard at work in other areas. One crew will be at Southwell Drive, Newtown, completing the restoration project that began a few weeks ago. The other will be conducting drain repairs, beginning at Wellington Road, before moving to Mattingley.
Motorists are advised to exercise caution when driving in these areas. Please reduce speed, adhere to all posted signage, and remain vigilant for workers and equipment on or near these roadways. We appreciate your patience and cooperation.
